Her FAIR case manager referred her to Café Reconcile, an organization that trains youth in front-of-house and back-of-house service industry skills, including customer service, food preparation, and kitchen management.
Committed to turning her life around, Ms. T. dedicated herself to the program and graduated with flying colors. This achievement marked a significant milestone in her journey. With newfound skills and confidence, Ms. T. secured a position in the service industry, substantially increasing her income. This financial improvement allowed her to move to a better neighborhood, providing a more supportive environment for her daughter, who was starting kindergarten.
