We are excited to share our 2024 Annual Report! This report presents the individual and systemic impacts we made to protect and empower Louisiana’s disability community last year. Highlights include that:
- We provided individual legal and non-legal advocacy in approximately 2,300 cases, helping thousands of individuals with disabilities access critical services, autonomy, education, employment, healthcare, and safety from abuse and neglect;
- We worked to improve healthcare access and stop abuse and neglect of approximately 30,000 people with disabilities through systemic litigation, monitoring, and investigations; and
- We helped secure an additional $42 million in state funding for home and community-based healthcare services that will empower hundreds of adults to remain in their communities instead of being institutionalized.
