DRLA’s Client Assistance Program (CAP) was contacted by a college student with learning disabilities, who was being denied over $2,000 in reimbursement for a summer training course to receive a Master’s level certification in working with individuals with addiction-related needs. The CAP advocate contacted the assistant director of LRS and educated the client on their rights. As a result, LRS reimbursed the client for the full amount and coordinated with the client to update his IPE.
