Client in Federally-funded Housing Denied First-floor Restroom

Client DK* is a 64-year-old man who lives in federally-funded housing for the elderly. When he told the building staff that he needed access to a first-floor restroom because of symptoms associated with his diabetes, they responded that the bathroom was off-limits to tenants. Lacking access to a close restroom, DK started having accidents. Disability Rights Louisiana stepped in and obtained an accommodation for DK, who cannow have access to the restroom when he needs it.
