A resident of a group home monitored by our CLOP program was approved for the NOW waiver with 24-hour care. The resident was originally offered the Standard Waiver but was bumped to the ROW waiver. Due to aggressive behaviors, running away, and an inability to recognize some dangers, the NOW wavier was requested. After additional information was requested and a denial was issued, another attempt for the NOW was made. Again, additional information was requested and the provider and support coordination agency were able to finally resubmit the information requested and the NOW waiver was approved.
